Be honest with yourself and try to grow as a person. If you have not recognized your own weaknesses and corrected them you are just asking for a world of hurt and humiliation.

Third, are you ready for the reaction from friends and family? You think you know what to expect, but it is probably best to broach the subject carefully. If you have children, particularly if they are close to the age of your new wife, they are going to be surprised. Be honest with them, and let them know that this new relationship makes you very happy and does not change your love for them.

If there could be complicated inheritance issues, particularly involving a family business, you will probably be much better off to get these clear before you finalize the marriage, so that you, your new wife, and your children all understand the situation. This might require a prenuptial agreement, updating your will, or changing the structure of your business, but getting it taken care of will drastically reduce the tension between your children and your new wife.

Finally, are you flexible enough to marry a younger woman? She is going to surprise you, because she has grown up in a different world from you. In successful May-December romances this is what helps to keep the spark alive, but you have to be willing to see that these surprises bring you both closer together.
